Tiyab Mahanna was created from a love for the Sudanese toub and a feeling that more of us should feel like it belongs to us too. Growing up, the toub can sometimes feel like something reserved for weddings, aunties or a certain stage of life, and we wanted to make it feel more accessible, modern and exciting for a new generation.
Inspired by Sudanese culture and designed in the UK, our pieces are made with softer colours, simple details and easy-to-style finishes, while still celebrating everything we love about the toub.
For us, it’s about keeping the toub part of our everyday lives, wearing it in our own way and making sure the next generation feels connected to it too.
